We have bought so many rotten eggs. Where has that fighting team spirit from last season and even earlier in the season gone?

Dysfunctional groups can succeed as a unit...they just need to get pointed in the right direction.

I know what you mean, but they have hardly been supporting the fans with performances on the pitch. Im not saying what i am saying to be negative, its how I feel, and being realistic. No point in papering over the cracks.

I give my all to support the team at matches, and for example, even though I want SWP dropped, I still sing his song, and make noise to get everyone else singing.

I agree with you Ruislip. The summer is when the major transfers are made and good players can be had. And there's time to have the new players find their feet. The Goons handicapped up.

Long, Graham and Morison all came up for sale and went to competitors. We were left to buy in the Blue Cross sale -some players have worked but we didn't get first pick of the cream. And we've been fighting a rearguard action ever since.

I don't doubt Sparky and his team will sort out the problems we showed yesterday (which but for the Goons would have manifested themselves in pre-season matches). By the end of the season, I suspect he'll have us looking like a reasonable outfit - but obviously it may be too late. It's 60-40 in favour of relegation for me now because the teams we're against are seasoned scrappers.

These players have had 30+ games together, countless training sessions don't use the excuse that games at Harrow and Torquay would have sorted out our problems, this is Football not ****ing brain surgery it is simple, pass the ball to your team mates in a constructive manner until you get the chance to put it in the opponents net.
A bit of hard work, keep fit and build a good team spirit that is what is needed. We have none of that.

Looking at the match statistics show we had more ball and way more shots than Bb even with our atrocious 1st half. They were effective, we weren't and we made bad mistakes for their goals. If we change keeper, tighten up defensively DM with Diakite, we can still stay up, but need max performance to the end of season, cut out so many mistakes and red cards, and need a bit more luck! Plus a few goals!

Think that's a bit simplistic for success in the premiership, Liutb. All needed of course, but there's more.

In the first season in the Prem, you have to be have quality and be well prepared because when the season starts, it's like being getting hit by a train. If a new team is knocked off balance early on, it's hard to recover.

30 games together? You mean more like 5 or 6? More than half the starting 11 came in during the transfer window, did they not?

Aaaaaaaah I'm just joshing. It is a simple game to be had, but obviously we have to play against opponents who may be just slightly better than us and that's enough to beat us, eh?
