I am buzzing for the beginning of next season! I truly believe we will have enought to stay up next season and even if we don't, the quality of player that is being brought in by PL is sure to see us come straight back up if we can hang on to them!

If we successfully sign Johnson, Bennett, Snodgrass and a couple of defenders, along with Morrison and Vaughan, and add that to what we have got already our squad will be unstoppable if we go down!

Imagine a Championship squad (assuming we sign and then keep them all) consisting of:

    Ruddy
    Rudd
    Steer

    R.Martin
    Francomb
    Ward
    Barnett
    Whitbread
    Drury
    Tierney
(plus any defenders we sign this summer)

    Crofts
    Fox
    Snodgrass
    Hoolahan
    Surman
    Johnson
    Bennett
    McNamee
    Smith
    Lappin
(plus maybe Osman or someone like him and Hughes if he stays)

    Holt
    Morrison
    Jackson
    Vaughan
    Martin
(plus Oli, Cody and Daley if we keep them)

It is a formidable Championship squad and like I said it is a squad I would fancy to compete reasonably well in the Premiership. Im not saying we are going to make the top 6, or even the top half but I think they could compete with those teams that finished in the bottom half or came up with us i.e. Wolves, QPR, Wigan, Blackburn, Swansea and even teams like Stoke and Newcastle.

Just think, a worse squad than this beat a better Man U team than they have now! In that game Rooney came off the bench, Ronaldo came off the bench after 9mins or so to replace Saha, Van Nistlerooy played etc.

Without going too far, lets be bloody positive about next season and about the years we have to come! Lambert and board have done wonders and continue to do so, and I for one am going to enjoy it!

I am getting sick of hearing "oh we're going to struggle next year!" and "We're only going to go straight back down" and "Lets be cautious" etc.

As I have said I know we might struggle but lets enjoy the fact that Lambert is clearly not gona let us go down without a fight like Worthington did! Think about enjoying next season and if we do go down, who cares! Look at the squad we will have! Lambert (If he stays) would surely be able to get "yoyo" them back up!

    HAPPY DAYS AT NCFC !!!!!

Dont worry about it being strong enough for the championship, were in the prem for the long haul now! I will say though 6 atleast of that list will be gone on loan or permantly in the summer...

I am afraid to say I can`t see Chrissy Martin getting much action in the prem. He was a bit slow in the championship, let alone the prem.
I can see Lambo loaning him out

Balance the books? Haven't you heard, there's loads of money to be had in the Premiership, you should try it some time!

Superman - all I'm saying is, no matter where you go, you're always going to come across these puerile tossers! Just rise above it, it's not difficult, they're normally pretty low anyway! <ok>
