    Best read yet IMO, glove.

I think a massive plus is that we once again have heroes on the pitch. Younger fans over recent years haven't had many players they would like to replicate on the playground(maybe shelvey), and for us older guys, none that really fought tough and nail for the club we love.

Now when I look at the team, I see players like solly, morro, Hollands etc who will do anything to win on that pitch(there are more, but these are my stand outs). We go one down and they use the groans I the crowd to further spur them on, because as pro's they don't want to taste defeat like us. Maybe a more fitting word would be professional.

We appear to be a professional unit- going back to how we were in the premiership years.

    Another great read GP

I never enjoyed the mercenary feel about some of our premiership signings - not all overseas may I add

Crazy to think that at the start of the season our main XI was entirely British - not many clubs can say that
Good young guys who are hungry plus some experienced old heads who have been there and done it both in league one and the champ

CP has assembled a team to get us up and so far so good !!!

    Great read GlovePup <ok>

I entirely understand the difficulty in trying to convey all of the excitement and all of the reasons to be happy within such a small space. Guess thats what makes it even greater about being a Charlton fan at the moment :)

    Another good blog Glovepup.

I know a lot of people have said we need to get out of League One because of the standard of football played / the standard of pitches the game is being played on but I've really enjoyed this season down here, not because we're winning constantly (though it helps) but the fact that nearly every away ground means your on top of the players when they're warming up.

Every time I've followed Charlton on the road I've seen Hamer or Sullivan when they're taking a break from the warm-up chatting albeit briefly to the fans.

You cant forget Kermorgant @ Sheffield United where he struck a ball into the crowd hitting a small boy in the face and ended giving him medical attention himself because the stewards were so useless.

Again I cant see a Premiership player ever doing that or talking to the fans before the game because they need to get into the right frame of mind.

I certainly know that I'd be happy if Charlton were to finish around 9th each season in the Championship simply because you've 24 teams who think they can win it, (i.e. I wouldnt want to finish higher because then you do have the disappointment of just missing out on promotion / playoffs).

I dont know bout anyone else but we've had 7 good years in the Premiership, but now we're out of it I'm certainly in no rush to return to quite those heavy days...
