Huth on the bench and Woodgate, who was not named in the Euro sqaud doesn't even make the bench due to fitness. Upson starts in his place. One can only assume that Huth is now our 4th choice CB?
Just heard the line-up Smithers but was not aware that Woodgate was injured. What is happening with regard to Huthy? The team today seems better balanced wrt the back 4 with Wilko at RB but is Upson now ahead of Huth in the pecking order? He could be off in January.
Smither's to be fair, I'm sure Huth will start on Thursday and Upson was manificent as was Ryan.. he had A.J. in his pocket.
Dont dispute that Potts, but by defination of the selection he now 3rd or 4th choice CB - cant figure that out myself and this is why I was screaming when we signed 2 additional CB and full backs in the transfer window. All that we have achieved is an inbalance in players/positions and over strengthened in area that we were already very competent in!
So, Huth is rested lats prem game because he will play in the europa game. Indeed he does, at RB then moved to left back, them subbed!!!!!!!!!!! Upsone plays both games. Forward to sunday in the prem and Huth is on the bench again and Upson plays his 3rd game in a row, along with Shawx. This must confrim that Huth is now 4th choice CB and second choice RB - what a fall from grace. Please enlightened me if I have missed the bloody onbvious and barking up the wrong tree!
