Hull suspend Bullard J uly 21, 2011 Email PrintBy Dale Johnson Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard has been ordered to stay away from the club for the next fortnight after a breach of club discipline, ESPNsoccernet understands. Bullard, 32, has never lived up to the hype of his £5 million move to Hull during their first season in the Premier League and this latest incident is likely to hasten his departure from the KC Stadium. Reports suggest that Bullard arrived at the training ground on Tuesday morning in a taxi after a night out in London and manager Nigel Pearson made it clear he was in no state to join the rest of the squad. He was told to leave immediately and suspended for two weeks. The club are expected to make an official statement on Thursday morning. Bullard, who is on a £45,000-a-week contract which still has another two seasons to run, has made just 23 league appearances for the Tigers since joining the club from Fulham in January 2009. A move to Celtic following the club's relegation to the Championship last year collapsed, reportedly over the player's financial demands, and he was loaned to Ipswich Town in January. Pearson opted to give Bullard a second chance when the players met up for pre-season this summer, taking him on a six-day training camp in Slovenia, but this latest indiscretion may prove too much for the East Yorkshire club. He has been lined with a return to the Premier League and to London with Queens Park Rangers as Neil Warnock looks for added creativity with the impending sale of Adel Taarabt to Paris St Germain. He was left out of the squad for Wednesday evening's friendly against Winterton Rangers, before whch Pearson told reporters: "There's nothing to add at this point. This conversation is going nowhere so we'll leave it at that."
if i was made to go to slovenia then i would get on the piss as well... sign him now.. being an alco never stopped stan the man
in peace: i think you're spot in and i hope you are. great player and without the stupid conduct he's apparently fantastic to have around too. for whetever reason reason it just hasnt worked out at hull. we've got loanees and buy back deals with manyoo and liverpool players and i think NP needs to take a stand so SAF and KD keep the faith. general feeling is that although this isnt grounds to terminate his contract it makes his position with us untenable. good luck for the season, hope NW gets some backing but if anyone can keep you up with buttons, its him.
