Watt off, Macheda on? Good news is that a defeat tonight, and Saturday at Wolves, should see a change at the top...hmmm define top eh?
Not a shot on target. Predictably outclassed, only need a few more wins to stay up and we can see our mates from down West for a couple of derbies next season
Never a truer word spoken Stevo. Can't see how we will stay up unfortunately. Last couple of seasons we have been comfortable, being in a relegation scrap is a massive shock to the system for the primadonna players now in our squad and I really don't think most of them have the mental toughness to come through it.
Or more importantly perhaps Jenkins should have had a full time replacement lined up other than Curtis. A shame as both Newcastle and Sunderland have deserved to do down for yonks.
I'm pretty sure you'll stay up anyway, cos as you say the both Newcastle and Sunland have been pretty poor for a while as have villa, bad move letting shelvey go through
A few weeks back I'd have agreed with that. Fat Sam knows how to get the job done though and that was a huge result in terms of points and confidence last night. No one (even Villa) are down yet but Swansea have easily been one of the 4 worst sides in the PL for months. If that doesn't change they're in big trouble. It's hard to see how selling Shelvey and potentially Gomis will help.
Hull fan in peace here. Seriously, I do come in peace, but I'd love to know what you thought of your performance last night, because I thought your lot were the worst side to visit the KC in ages. You must've been playing better than this because you would never have got to 9th in the table otherwise. And what's the score with your number 5 Manga? I can't recall seeing a worse centre half in 40+ years of watching professional football! Did he just have an off night?
It doesn't surprise me you saying that. We are not functioning this season under a clueless management team led by Slade. Your surprise at our poor play is matched by our surprise as to our current table position. How the hell we are still in the top half is anybody's guess. We will only change things when the present football management at the club is ditched. It has been a dire season and is destined to only get worse.
Polly - you've hit several nails on the head in one comment. We have been poor most of the season playing a rigid 4-4-2 as our manager can't get his head around anything else. On several occasions we have played reasonably well first half and gone 2 up only for the opposition to change tactics and get level again. We have also played poorly against the likes of Preston, MK Dons and Rotherham and only got 1 point from 3 away games against lowly placed teams. The players now seem to have lost confidence and faith in the manager and we can only hope our esteemed owner can make a prompt decision to get rid of him before we start tumbling down the league. Many of us believe having Slade as a manager outs off reasonable quality players signing for us. We have yet to make a signing in the window. Rumours start then are quickly stopped by the club. Many fans say we have quality players who should see us much higher in the division. I disagree and, in fact, our position is higher than our abilities should allow. As for Manga, he returned from a long injury lay off about 4 games ago and he is nothing like the player he was last season. I don't think he has the physical presence needed in this league and every game seems to get out muscled and drop a major glooper. Sean Morrison is my preferred choice but he is out injured for another month and our other centre back, Ben Turner, appears to have long term injury problems. As a result it looks like we are saddled with Manga until Morrison comes back. Our fifth choice Tamas played against Shrewsbury in the cup. He was awful, oil tankers in the channel can turn quicker.
Bluey - I think he's more along the lines of the ethnicity, in which case he's probably right. That beggars the question as to where they originate from up there - any ideas?
