Sod's law Josh Magennis will notch one. I'm relying on our lads to score more than them. A clean sheet would be good but an entertaining 4.3 wouldn't go amiss.
That's about all Hoilett did, but Danny Ward could (should?) have had a hat trick - we were very lucky. Magennis could score tonight and then go in goal to keep us out......
What would you like to happen tonight apart from the obvious blistering game and a thumping win for the Blue City? Where we are now, the answer might be obvious, but what would you prefer to see? A. 3 points from a ground out win with the same old McCarthyesque rearguard performance on the pitch, or......... B. Dropping a point (or all 3 for that matter) but with a totally new shape and attitude putting in a stellar perfomance but just being unlucky?
For me, always want to win but if we don’t and we’ve played well but with nothing going our way then it softens the blow even if it’s maddening
I think every fan wants their team to win regardless of the method or style. However, we've been very vocal about how we want a change of culture at the club and actually demanding change. I think if we place these expectations on the club, we have to be the first to support efforts to effect changes. It's the first step away from short-termism. It'll take a certain type of patience not normally associated with Bluebird fans and for those more fickle fans, perhaps it's an opportunity to call themselves supporters as well as fans. Clearly, this is not aimed at anyone on this board all of whom are dyed in the wool supporters. Yeah, I know I'm an idealist
I think theres a 3rd way. Win and show signs of developing a more expansive game plan. Its going to take time to change style. Youngsters who know the game plan need experience to stand up to the rigours of senior football. Senior players need to adapt to the new game plan. We need more points on the board to stop us getting dragged further into a relegation scrap (we're not out of it yet). We need some breathing space to allow us to develop our style. Its a bit chicken and eggy. 3 points and a step in the right direction would be my first choice. A point and two steps would be acceptable. What I dont want is no points but jam tomorrow.
Good post Clingo. All I ever want is to see a good game of football with City showing some flair and quality. A win is a bonus.
Morison not afraid to tinker with the team. Good options from the bench. Smithies; Ng, McGuinness, Flint, Nelson, Giles; Vaulks, Pack, Bacuna; Davies, Moore. Subs: Phillips, Morrison, Brown, Ralls, Colwill, Harris, Collins.
Nah. Hull have made a tactical mistake. You'd have thought they would know not to score first against us.
