Mental decision but that's modern day football for you.

Before you say anything Erik I was on the khazi.

He must be off to Leeds - but surely Huddersfield would be better off waiting for him to go and collecting compensation?

"This was a very difficult decision; one not taken lightly or in response to one result," chairman Dean Hoyle told the club website.
"Lee and his coaching staff have put their all into the job over the past three seasons and has made a huge contrinution to the club.
"However with 16 matches to go we still have an oppotunity to achieve promotion and we have made this change with this in mind."

Seems to be based on football alone and not going elsewere. One of the longest unbeaten runs in the history of the sport and then sacked a few games later......mmmmmm

Not based on one result? Do the board not realise that until their 1-0 loss to SECOND PLACED Sheff Utd, the team had been unbeaten in 9?

That is absolutely ludicrous! Adkins will be out next for failing to retain top spot <doh>

They don't lose many games, but they draw far too many. The team is set up not to concede goals, and it's pretty dull watching.

He's spent a lot of money, and for the amount they've spent he's underachieved.

Madness, Clarke's done a good job there. Wouldn't suprise me if he took the Leeds job.

3 losses in 55 games. I know they've drawn 13 games this season but they are only 4 points off 2nd, and 9 points above 7th. Seems bizarre to me that he's done one

Is it just me then that can understand this? They're the Man City financially of that division and it looks like he'll fail to get promoted for the 2nd year running.

Everyone goes on about the unbeaten record but if you draw every single game in a season you'll be in the bottom 5.

How have you come to the conclusion that he was going to fail to get them promotion? They're 4th, 4 points off second and 9 points clear of the team in 7th. I'd say they're nailed on for at least the play offs

I also read that he was sacked in a surprise 2 minute phone call. Apparently it's been referred to the LMA and may result in unfair dismissal proceedings
