The Gallagher thing isn't about being cocky you ******! It's to put the goalkeeper off which it has done 100% of the time since he started doing it. What Kermorgant did is disgraceful. Watch this video and skip to 3.30 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Bb0ZRhNi6E Watch the team reaction in the background. I'm not asking for every penalty to be scored. But you just don't do something that arrogant in a game of that magnitude. He made a mockery of the club and he shouldn't pull on the shirt again. If Mandaric had some balls he would have ripped up his contract there and then because I know I would. Kermorgant isn't the reason we didn't go up, granted. But if your going to do something like that then you may aswell go home. It doesn't make you look big and clever even when it comes off. It makes you look a twat. Which is exactly what he is, a huge dickhead who thinks he is bigger than the club I love.
Nope, fail to understand. He's had the ****ing guts to stay and fight for his place and pull that blue shirt on again. He could easily havegone back to France.
A bit more power in Kermo's shot and Waggy would have been marked the villain for missing the penalty after. Yes everyone was pissed about how he took that penalty, but Burmese has prooved its not the first time hes taken it like that, and was probably picked because he takes them like that. Seeing him putting on the shirt after that takes alot of balls tbh, hes not been sold, hes still in his contract, and its upto Sven whether he will make an appearance or not next season. Nugent was cocky by flashing the kop his name on the back of his Pompey shirt when he scored last season, are you going to boo him next season? End of the day, things have worked out better now we didn't go up, good manager, new owners. Could you have seen us staying up with the team we had? and the limited finances at the time? I think we have a much better oppertunity now.
Kermorgant is a Leicester player and until he leaves i will support him as a Leicester player and when he leaves he will get loads of abuse
Has he said he wanted to fight for his place? Can't remember him saying that. Or apologising. Even Waghorn had the balls to apologise and he didn't even play for the club. Waghorn fell down and cried which showed more passion that Kermorgant did. Kermorgant didn't even acknowledge the crowd like the others did. Nev said that anyone who isn't commited to the cause will be sold and judging by his attitude that night I suspect he wont want to be. Oh wait, now we have money he might stick around and aim for an improved contract. I wouldn't be surprised if he's sold by the end of next week.
No he wouldn't. Berbatov took a **** penalty against everton in the FA Cup semi-final which he missed. The United fans didn't moan about him for years did they? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JSynnf-0ZQ No because he wasn't thinking of himself. If your prepared to do something that arrogant then you must be able to do it 100% of the time. He was and he couldn't.
****y hell AKCJ, you're quite wound up today you got the decorators in? Man U playing at home are they?
To get back to the point though, neither will play more than a handfull of games! Our forward line isn't as strong as it needs to be, and with Nugent the only addition up top, Sven, I am sure knows this is top priority. Easier said than done but hoping this is sorted as soon as possible as I think this is now our weaker area.
AKCJ - Man U playing at home.... means are you on the blob mate? Bedford, totally agree with you on that one!
Neville talked about our bad last quarter of the season being down to leaking too many goals and saying that the defence is sorted now. By what he says, it seems as tho our last signings will be a forward/s.
Jesus H, you're the one calling me a ****** as I dont agree with you. My edit reason was actually a light hearted joke.
I really don't think he was. It's ******ed to think chipping a penalty is the best way to score. Anyone with a basic, under 10s knowledge of playing football knows the best way is to hit the bottom or top corners. If you're really nervous and not confident just smash it down the middle as a last resort. If it's not in the corner, it must at least have power. Pearson knows this. Kermit knows this. Nugent doing his job for his team and then taking the piss out of us is one thing, he was playing for them. It's a lot harder to forgive someone though when they didn't do their job and his cockiness cost his own team. I have very little respect for players who put a whole season/tournament/even a match at risk, just to look clever. He clearly showed a lack of respect for the club and it's fans that night. Not because he missed a penalty, but because he was more interested in looking cool than scoring. Comparisons to Gallagher are also to misunderstand. Gally's penalties are similar to Gary Mills or Socrates - both those players took one step run-ups, not to be cocky but so it was harder for the keeper to read where they were going to put it. Gallagher is thinking the same way, by turning his back the goalkeeper can't read his eyes and where they are looking. It's probably also to do with his own psychology, not wanting to be put off by the keeper, who will often be doing their best to do so. I'm not a fan of Gallagher's penalties, but that's more because, in his own words, he 'just turns round and hits it as hard as he can'. I'm not going to boo Kermit but you can't expect instant forgiveness, it's all very well working hard in pre-season but his penalty pretty much cost us a vital do or die penalty shootout.
3 poor decisions against Cardiff The needless foul he gave away in the home leg which Cardiff scored from The penalty they everyone remembers Turning up for the 2nd leg at Cardiff
