Well, the stat's don't lie!! We've turned in to a very mediocre side who failed to inflict even more woe on The Millers who were there for the taking. After conceding our comstomary opener an equaliser was fashioned on the stroke of half time - but after that it was pants.

What on earth has happened to this bunch of lads who haven't mustered a decent performance since our trip to the Emirates. Just when I thought GT had introduced a bit of 'steel' in the side and we looked the business on the road it's back to powder puff performances reminiscent of seasons past.

Hate to say it, but centre midfield is again lacking anyone with a sense of drive and determination and it feels like we're playing with 10 men most of the time with Wright and Ainsworth putting in half a shift each.

I just hope we turn the corner before the the leading pack head off in to the distance with goals a plenty.

it always turns out like this after a good cup run...we need a bit of fresh blood at the back for deffo just to freshen things up a bit...even if we indulge in the loan system!

From the sounds of the radio commentary McAllister was the best player today. I don't know what has gone wrong but I feel we are going to miss Hazell this season, and need to bring in at least one solid defender and a midfielder.

    Yep!!

A few mercenaries to bolster things are well over due. The defence is jittery as hell and this has impacted on midfield who all seem to have dropped off and as for up front, 2 shots on target today says it all!!!

I don't think we need more players in really. We have some very fresh legs on that bench and beyond. Bradshaw & Taylor can bring a new level of energy if we start using them! 15 mins here and there for Taylor is wasted! Drop Wright and Morgan and give them 2 a go, pick on form and not on reputation.

We need at least one improvement in defence..

Morgans starting to loose his shine, he always started off well at other clubs, ie Yeading and Aldershot then tailed off as the season progressed, then he starts to loose his discipline....i hope GT can start getting him more motivated!

I agree with those who say we do need some new blood - the way Crawley and Southend are going they will soon be out of sight and everyone else will be playing for third place. We must act now to improve the side so underachievers like our centre backs are not guaranteed a place in the side. Also, has anyone else noticed how many goals we concede from long range? The closing down from midfield is sadly lacking and we badly need a big beast at centre mid to break up the opposition and pass the ball to our creative players. I do not think we need to play the same system every match - against some of the better sides away why cant we play with one winger and try to bolster the midfield - you can have all the attacking strength in the world but it is no good if you do not have the ball. We now need two wins this week to get back into the top three but if we play like we did against Barnet I cannot see that happening. It may be time to try a Colllins /Gornell combination up front to freshen things up but , whoever plays, lets turn out in big numbers and sing our hearts out to try and help the lads through this sticky patch.

Couldn't agree more! It's all very well GT talking about a 'passing game' but we're getting bullied too much by no nonsense sides who play direct no frills football with a degree of swagger. I also wish he'd give up on 2 wingers as it's costing us dear with neither of them being much cop of late as Wroe, Richards etc are getting their bums kicked in the centre of the park.

Conceding early goals is also a habit that needs sorting out and from what I've seen of late we come out of the changing room half cocked! Sorted by Christmas?

And? Bristol Rovers beat Manchester United 4-0, Shrews havent but It dont mean nothing now. End of season you know the gas will be up there, whilst so will you, but you may be subject to another gas defeat in a play off final <ok>

    Chris - Gashead,
I admire your optimism but the way you are playing at the moment you are more likely to be involved in a relegation dogfight than be challenging for promotion at the end of the season. This league has changed greatly since you were last in it - the teams coming up from the BSPL now are much stronger than they were and relegated teams are not able to waltz their way back into League 1 straight away like they could do once. A certain amount of humility from you might be in order.

Collins might have other things on his mind, rather than footie, after his escapade over the weekend on the M1. What a plonker:emoticon-0149-no:
