Any email I've just received reminded me of something I noticed the other day on Sky Sports News. Someone called Pacquette scored for Hayes and Yeading. Guessing that it was our old boy Richard, I thought I'd look him up on Wiki. Wow, he has had more clubs than Jack Nicholas. Anyway, remembering that he had scored for us, I thought I'd dig into that, and sure enough there was a link straight to it from Wiki. He scored in a 3 - 0 win over Bury back in 2002 in a div 2 match. His team mates included Murphy, Bonnet, Doudou and Griffiths. The bench included Ben Asker and Fitzgerald. The line in the email that brought this back to me was "How things have changed". Anyone had any similar reminisces?
I remember thoroughly enjoying my pint of Guinness before the match ... and the one during the match ... and the one after the match. I miss the one during the match.
As I said on the recent 'Queens Park Strangers' thread, these strangers are nothing like as obscure as the unknowns that played for us in the opening games of our first season back in the third tier. That WAS austere. You're right. Things have really changed for us, not just in the last decade or so, but in the last few weeks! COY(new)RRRRRssss!
