    Anyone gotta translator?

McClean becoming a cult hero.....for years we've cried out for a left winger....Took his goal well to, at the 2nd attempt.

Cant understand as he was Bruceys signing, we were crying out for a left winger and a bit of balance why wasnt he played or at least given a few minutes (as against Blackburn) sooner?

The lad just seems to tick the correct boxes...

The left wing has been truly awful for years, and neglected at peril...This lad plays in that position that we have all shouted for for long enough..Not since Reidy have we had a decent left wing....

But, no matter how we feel about him, hats off to Bruce, for some good signings during the last window...

He may have been a greasy spoon cook, where-as MoN is the master chef, but he did seem to gather the correct ingerdients, just couldn't conjure the proper recipe.

To continue the analogy the food he served up sometimes made me sick but know what ur saying mate he always had an excellent eye for players (probably why hes a good bottom half of the table manager due to limited funds) however tactics and motivation were his problems. Left a reasonable legacy tho squad wise, some things Bent/Gyan/injuries were out of his hands.

Anyway in conclusion McClean could save us a LOT of money and headaches judgin by his start, however give the lad a bit of time and patience and we might have a real gem.

Don't know the lad personally, but do know people who know him and the common thing that is always said about him was that his attitude was excellent and he had a great desire to succeed. Everyone who watched and knew him over here all said that he would make the step up and were very confident of it.

McClean's goal summed the guy up for me, excellent save stopped his first effort but he was clever enough to be prepared to head in the rebound.

I also think we are over egging Bruce's talent spotting abilities.
He didn't travel the world watching these players personally.
Just like every other manager he relied on scouts and their opinions on players.

He definatley seem's to have the right attitude. He remind's me alot of Gareth Bale, when first at Spur's, height, strentgh, directness and not afraid to help out at the back.
