Would make sense bringing in another Left-Mid, means we could either have a rotation policy (unnamed left mid, Jackson, Evina), or have Jackson at LB and Unnamed at LM, with Evina (seeing as he is quite young) playing backup. Then again I wouldn't be too happy with Jackson playing at LB (and probably wouldn't be that happy with him at LM either).

David Martin, i presume you mean Essex Al.I have heard we are also bringing in two defenders this week. One is Legge from Brentford and i don't know the other one.

Totally agree we need at least one more fit left-sided player. I do get the point that we're not Man U so we shouldn't be trying to overcomplicate things, but I'm not sure it's a complication. Evina will get forward, that's obvious from his comments and previous reviews, so all I'm saying is I'm perfectly happy with that as it adds a bit of flair, providing we have a winger who can tackle if required, which JJ can.

Happy with Legge... but we have to sign in batches of 3, so guessing Legge, Green &... Messi?

Would be disappointed with Messi, not the out and out striker we need. Need a lump like Akpo. Plus, if he is bought for the wing then he isn't defensive enough IMO. CP can do better.

Since when has Jackson become a defensive minded left sided midfielder? He was our top scorer (by a long way) before his injury

To a large extent that was down to him being penalty taker - apart from that he often contributed little to the game

:laugh: That's true! Hadn't considered the Messi defense factor. Damn... that's terminal!
Think folks are being a bit harsh on JJ... thought when he got injured our left side became a problem for the rest of the season. Yes, most of his goals were penalties, but little doubt in my mind he would've been player of the year if he'd stayed fit (yes, mainly due to no alternative)

JJ goes about unnoticed, but his contribution is vital. Picks up great positions and always looks for the ball. Plus he has the ability to pass it more than 5 yards... and forward!!
