This thread is for the pro Pearson followers, and try to answer without throwing insults behind a computer screen. The question is how long or how many games will you give the manager next season should we continue this bad run
I'm on the fence at the minute about Nige, but I think the owners will only give him about 8 games if we have a very bad start.
You dont put a number on it. I think we will be on the of the strongest teams next season. Nigel's team has had a year to gel now so we will be stronger for it. Alot of players where in the first proper season as professionals and they wont make the same mistakes again Had we had Chris Wood for all of last season who knows where we would have ended up. Im fully behind Nigel and I think he will get us promoted next season Some people might call it blind faith but hey ho
You will have a one of the strongest teams and a decidedly average manager. Play offs at best if he stays.
I've no idea, for me it depends whether we can keep players such as Kasper and Wes, whether we sign someone who can find the net all season and whether we may actually get some luck this time! One things for sure though, no one will tolerate losing so many games this time! I just hope Nigel has a plan B this coming season so we don't roll over like little doggies wanting our bellies scratching
Can't you put Walshy in charge, he's the brains behind the operation? Pearson came in and sorted us out when we were in a mess, it's what he's good at, when it comes to selecting his best team and coming up with a plan B, then he's pretty much ****ed. Stick a microphone in his face and he's even more ****ed.
It's more entertaining than the usual bollocks most manager spew out nowadays though to be fair to him. Listening to Stringer squirm is always good for a laugh.
12 games is what he'll get imo, i'd be happy for a top 6 finish again, but im guessing the owners would want us to still be in contention for the autos.
To be honest Pearson needs to get a leader on the pitch! if he can do that plus two or three other signings i don't think we will be to far away next year, i can't think of anyone else i would rather have, and i do not want a foreign manager!
Agreed. I saw a fair bit of Leicester in the first half of the season and I thought, pound for pound, they were the best side in the league. When they hit second I thought they were sorted. How NP managed to **** this up with the quality of players at his disposal and still walk away with (seemingly) the majority of supporters behind him, I sincerely do not know. Most LCFC fans I’ve read have been really generous to him and have seemingly considered this season to be a success – crazy considering what they have, the position they were in and what they pay out (granted this isn`t all down to NP). Credit to LCFC fans for sticking by their manager and usually this pays off, but I wonder how next season will be dressed by the fans if another likely promotion failure is overseen by NP? NP is a good trouble shooter (and helped reshape us) but I feel he’ll be better suited to smaller clubs with less expectations.
Said on another thread - if he is in charge come the first day of the season (and I still have an open mind on that) then I 'feel' (because that is all it is) that he'll be told he has 10 games and that a minimum of twenty points is expected ...
To be fair, while it was good to see us in second. I couldn't see us staying there. We were lacking strength in depth so badly. To see the likes of ****bread, Futacs, Vardy and Logan as our subs. Injuries and fatigue was always going to play a part as was our lack of experience. We're not far off and it will be interesting to see how Nigel recruits in the summer and delivers next season.
Fair enough – you see the team week in/week out. But, many fellow LCFC certainly believed you had enough and this was expressed on this forum, as well as on FoxesTalk. Another question, would you perceive HCAFC to have had that depth required then? Or Palace ? I’d say that there’s not much between the squads in the top end of the Championship, just that the successful ones are better managed. Whilst I would never pretend to know more than you about Leicester, I can’t help but feel your fans, on the whole, have been really generous to NP (which is commendable in this day and age) and whatever way it's dressed up, he ****ed up this season. From an outside view, I’d bet against him taking you up, even with a few more signings.
