    He has potential but I don't think he has got it upstairs to be a great player, if Teddy Sheringham had an extra half a yard on a player in his head currently Rooney is the opposite :/

    Hes not a bad player, needs to pass the ball more and be less greedy, he trys though

    Rooney is very much a flair player. However everytime I see him he looks better and better. Have to start him on the right this weekend.

    For me, the lad has potential but needs to learn a lot. His head is down too often when he has possession, so he does not see opportunities for the pass and his contribution when we are not in possession is close to zero, which is no good for a midfielder, no matter how attacking they are. He is still very young and I hope he will learn these things at the club and realise his potential at Gilllingham.
