Onwards and upwards, would've rather had ashton vale up until recently but now I'm not so sure

Happy to see the gate taking shape, for me, and I was in the minority, this was always my preferred option over Ashton Vale. This way we keep our home and get a make over, and tbh a 25-27,000 capacity is more than enough for us.

I assume the Williams stand renovation will follow in due course?

It makes the rest of the ground look like ****! Really hope they are doing something to the Dolman roof and sides as it looks terrible at the moment.

I asked about this on a recent tour, they are cladding it all the same, it SHOULD look good when finished.

Still say the Atyeo looks **** though sat out on its own like that!

The demolition of the Williams begins straight after the rugby has finished, first stages are asbestos removal then demolition. be gone by August.

The replacement Williams Stand will of course be the biggest - so the contrast to the photo above will be incredible

Took me a while to get my bearings to realise that was the williams.

The Atyeo is determined by the building regs from the housing behind. But to be honest it is going to be the away stand, if true apart from certain teams it will never be full. And with the size of the other stands it could look a bit opposing to the away fans in there.

I have it on good authority that Mr Lansdown is still buying houses behind the Atyeo as and when they become available.

Hopefully in the years to come that stand will be demolished and rebuilt to match the rest of what is looking like a top class venue.

Shame about the egg chasers sharing it, but its economically sensible I guess

Shrewd move by SL which is not surpising. Co-existence and maximum use are the only way we could afford this, better egg shares than horse punchers as lodgers!!

In the current ariel shot the Williams looks absolutely tiny compared to the South Stand
Looking at how far the South Stand goes to the right where it will meet the new Williams when its rebuilt, the pitch is going to be massively wide unless they intend to have a large border around the perimeter. I hope not because people will be further away from the pitch.

The pitch moves I think 5 metres towards the Williams this summer, so they can get more seats in the Dolman.
