Be honest, we've been absolutely dire so far this season. Attendances have dropped considerably in the space of a few weeks, a Leeds rookie defender is our joint top scorer after 5 games with a massive one goal and a growing number of people are becoming disillusioned with Messrs. Pearson, Shakespeare and Walsh. So just how bad are we? Should relegation be a worry?
What did you expect with your glass half full post? You couldn't have shoved more negatives in if you tried. Symptomatic of the current Corporal Jones affliction that you and many others have caught. 'Don't Panic, Don't Panic' Or maybe you're Frazer..... 'We're dooooooooooooooomed, I tell thee, dooooooooooooooomed. More likely Pikey 'Stupid Boy'.
Well you certainly come across as an intelligent young man. One minute you say I've included too many negatives (I prefer to call them facts personally) in my post and that I'm a "glass-half-empty" person, then say I appear to have the Lance-Corporal Jones "Don't Panic! Don't Panic!" attitude. So you've wrongly accused me of deliberately trying to be negative, then compared me to a fictional character whose catchphrase is the polar opposite of that. If you're going to be insulting, try not to fail.
In the 20 years I've been going, this is the technically the best City team I've ever seen. We aren't at all bad. Turning that ability to move the ball and to dominate possession into real goalscoring chances is proving difficult. It's frustrating I know but anyone claiming we've been "dire", we are "****" or in a few cases last week "we're worse than when we were in division 4 at Boothferry Park" is an utter mong.
Had enough of the many chances the team created with their neat passing style gone in, we'd have won a game or two. Had that happened, the same ones saying we're doomed and the worst ever would be talking about Prem and Europe. That's how bad we* are. *you were talking about the fans weren't you?
We have been dire. Even at Ipswich we were only the better side for 30-35 minutes of the second half, it wasn't as if the 3 points were the result of a dominant performance. And I don't give a **** if we move the ball around 15-20 times between our defenders, just so we can play it back to Basso and have him hoof it upfield to his opposite number. That's not the sign of a good team at all, and it's not encouraging in any way. We've even had Pearson and the media saying "we've created plenty of chances". Not that many, clearly.
Let me help you. Jones ran around like a headless chicken shouting 'Don't Panic, Don't Panic' at the first sign of perceived danger, or things going wrong. Much like your good self. Maybe you should just calm down a little, take a deep breath, and remember how dire we were at Boothferry like one or two other posters have mentioned. There.
I don't need your help "mate", especially when you've seemingly created a post for me. I said we'd been dire and asked everybody's opinions on just how bad we really are, and what our prospects are for the rest of the season. Whereabouts did I do anything remotely like Lance-Corporal Jones!? And I remember exactly how bad we were at Boothferry Park thanks, but that's a distant memory now. Just because a team happens to have been worse in the past doesn't mean they should have no concerns about their current situation. If you disagree, you are devoid of any intelligence.
What's going on Viking E, have you got Percy Syndrome all of a sudden? We're still in August mate, give it till October before writing this sort of doom and gloom nonsense. We haven't started well, things can only get better. UTT!
LMAO, no! I'm not calling for a complete overhaul of the squad, Pearson to be sacked and the club to change it's name to Leeds United. Yet...
