Bethany Hamilton from Kauai. She was surfing at a place called Tunnels beach when she was attacked by a Tiger Shark and lost her left arm. She nearly bled to death, but survived and not only came back to surfing, but went on to win loads of titles. All with one arm. Amazing woman (and hottie)
That golfer isn't an actual golfer. She's got a Youtube channel and does trick shots. Still would mind, obvs.

Right nasty bastards them ****ers, the poor great white takes all the flack, when its those ****s and bull sharks usually
Man knows his sharks ^^^^ Bull sharks swim up shallow rivers too, so they can be really deadly as they take people swimming and washing their clothes etc. Another dangerous shark is the Mako as they are really fast and attack quickly. We get them in the waters in Cornwall, but there's never been an attack on a human in the UK.
Yeah same. Grew up in the Jaws era too, that film really affected me. I've got a mate back in London who still won't even go in a swimming pool because he's so traumatised by that film When I first started surfing in places that I knew had sharks, I used to **** myself as I was convinced that I'd get eaten. There's a place called San Onofre in southern California that's a breeding ground for Great Whites. The locals there are like 'Hey yeah, we see fins but they usually stay out beyond those rocks over there....'. I remember my leash snapping at that place on a big wave once and I was left out the back on my own with a long 300m swim back to shore. I was like 'don't think about Jaws, don't think about Jaws'
I remember reading Ron and Valerie Taylor swimming with sharks, but then with great whites they'd use cages. Then people started swimming with great whites without cages, and i was like WTF mental bastards.
