If we are not prepared to match or better the £3.5m from Swansea, it would be a very worrying sign of where we are headed. No club needs a striker quite as badly as we do, can't afford to penny pinch.
It is worth baring in mind that NW may not rate Graham as highly as some of us do. He may have other players in mind, and he only wanted Graham as backup. If we don't up our bid, it is likely that this is the case.
More likely the case that Warnock couldn't persuade the deadly duo to part with the required cash and will be forced to do things on the cheap.
I'd expect NW to get more money out of them than he did last year. It will be up to him how he spends it - or he will walk. How much did we spend last summer? I'm sure that the budget will be bigger this year. Maybe not by much, but bigger.
Bakes, how can you say that? Bothroyd was playing in a side who had some really good players and on paper, the best strike force in the division.Graham was playing in an average championship side who looked more likely to go down than up at the start of the season.Cardiff finished above Watford, yet Graham still scored more goals.Surely that means Graham is better.Peter,We wouldn't have to match the offer if we were to offer Helguson as part of the deal.
Unfortunately, the fans don't decide the price. If we want him that much we'll cut the deal, tomorrow may be decisive as there's talk of Malky Mackay moving on to bigger things...
