Ayew will start I hope as I will not make my mind up until he's played a few real games.
Montero still an impact player for me as his final delivery is inconsistent. At least three times he beat his man only to run the ball out for a goal kick..
Tabanou looks a good player and I would start him in front of Taylor. He's good at disguising hand ball in the penalty area as well!
Ki's first touch wasn't up to his usual standard.
Didn't see enough of Eder to draw a conclusion although he did seem more mobile than Gomis.
GM has already said he was disappointed with our lack of a cutting edge. Something to work on.
I would still like to see another right back signed as backup to Naughton and Rangel.

How long can Montero be considered an impact player ? some on here were demanding Barrow start last season and he's not a patch on Montero , he needs game time, some of his crosses were very good and with runs into the box how long before you think we'll see the long awaited penalty being awarded , he created more chances yesterday than the rest of the team .Tabanou looked more physical and linked up well but its Taylors position to lose and until otherwise he should keep his place in the starting 11 imo.

I rate Montero highly. He has blistering pace and has that X factor. I see him having a big season for us if he stays injury free.

I agree that Montero can be inconsistent with his crossing, but he makes five times the opportunities to cross than anyone else. You only need one or two to hit the right area to end up with a goal.

I thought that Routledge put some dangerous crosses from which we could have scored. I suppose you have to decide between Routledges experience and greater tactical awareness and Montero's blistering pace but can he keep that up for 90 minutes.

But Routledge can play on either flank , whereas Montero is on sided only .Montero is an experienced international player who I'd have hoped by now would be able to manage his playing time effectively and if he can't then then that has to be down to the manager to manage his players within the 90 minutes by using his subs to the greatest effect. Games are fluid and tactics change to take into account many factors , we go behind then its us chasing the game leaving us exposed and vice versa for the opposition .We now have two experienced left backs who can compliment who ever Monk picks for Saturday which may go some way in deciding who starts .
