Just watched the highlights of the play off game and can't remember Hooper bring mentioned once, he is a right lazy bugger. Chuffed for Steve Bruce.
Agreed - Hooper was anonymous whereas Snoddy was influential for the Tigers. Well chuffed for Snoddy and Steve Bruce and congrats to all Hull fans - hope they enjoy the moment,
I was listening to the run in on 5 live. I thought the BBC were supposed to be impartial? It was all about S We'd, couldn't believe it. Didn't seem any point in Hull turning up, disgraceful!
...and he still looks overweight and slow and lumbering to me, and yes, Snoddy did have a foot in the build up to the goal, but otherwise I didn´t think he showed an awful lot, except that he did plenty of moaning and muttering at his team mates. Diame was a revelation though, and a great goal to boot.
Hooper is a finisher not a runner. De Foe wouldn't run miles in a game but that is not why he was picked. It is like you say a case that he didn't fit the system but maybe the system was not correct!
The only good player Sheffield Wednesday had in that game was their GK, it's a bit silly judging Hooper in one game when most of the team didn't play that well and overall he had a pretty good season with them.
