http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa..._trotting_Jos_wants_to_make_Southampton_home/ Looks like he is enjoying his stint on the sunny south coast and he seems like a top bloke, i myself wouldnt mind keeping him. Just thought whether people would rather keep Hooiveld (based on his early appearences) or go for someone else in January ? I understand its early to say so dont give me any stick for it ; )
Not talking specifically about Jos, though I would like to keep him. It will all depend on where we are in January..if we look nailed on for promotion then we should only sign players we think are Prem-standard. If we are chasing promotion and have injury problems we may sign players who could do us a job and gain promotion.
I think keep him but we still need another decent established premier league quality centre back move Martin and Seabourne on Jaidi will retire, get in Sharp and Maynard or JayRod and this time next season we'll be 5 points clear in the premiership. And they said being a manager is hard.
We have no debt and don't need to sell anyone. And our owner is a billionnaire. And you are being a bit disrespectful.
You do have debts, more than us in fact: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-club-suffer-miserable-European-campaign.html And we don't need to sell players either
Completing the Top 10 are Joe Lewis (Tottenham Hotspur, £2.7bn), Denis O’Brien (Celtic, £1.87bn), Stanley Kroenke (Arsenal, £1.85bn), the Glazer family (Manchester United, £1.53bn) and Bernie Ecclestone (QPR, £1.4bn). So Celtic have O'Brien worth £1.87bn and Dermot Desmond worth £1.5bn and that's awkward
Our "debt" is very easily manageable and we're not intending to buy any of your players. Hooiveld is our player remember.
Hooiveld loves Southampton because he is appreciated here, it's no surprise that he didn't like it up at Celtic because he had 1 bad game and you all wrote him off.
A player, that wants to make Southampton his home: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/9315420.Globe_trotting_Jos_wants_to_make_Southampton_home/
This is degenerating into mine is bigger than yours...strange because us girls prefer to be smaller Celtic aren't our enemies..they've loaned us a player when we needed a CB. Ta for that. He's done well in the fans' eyes, now it's up to the two chairmen what happens in January, which may or may not depend on the contract signed.
You're more than welcome to him. The fact that he's flopped at so many other clubs indicates the lack of quality of the player but perhaps says more about the lack of quality in the Championship.
Nice one. Totally agree. Like others I hope we can keep Jos. He is a genuine addition to the squad, and is apparently popular within the club - the fans have taken to him that's for sure. His liking for the club seems to be reciprocated, and I cannot see what Celtic would gain if they take him back to simply loan him elsewhere or to have him warm the bench. If they keep the price sensible they can move on, and we will have gained a quality player. We shall need to trust Nige and The Don to get it right.
Possibly a bit dis! Would you like to take him back? He did not get much of a chance before, despite the defensive frailties.
No worries. Nah, I don't want him back. He got his chances and blew them. He can talk a good game, I'll give him that. Don't know how much he's worth but our Board does like to drive a hard bargain. We got £1.5m for Craig "Cheese Strraws for Legs" Beattie
Here we go again TBF, I would say Rangers and Celtic have Premier League quality in their teams but the quality of players in the other 10 teams are just about equivalent to League One quality.
