We were one of two sides in all the leagues that had not one away from home so far this season, so it was a great victory not just to win, but to win away from home AND to continue an unbeaten run
May i take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Great New Year.
    May the run continue UTG

I was out for the day,but it was fantastic to check the score at 4:55 to find we had won! I think if we were going to win away in the League, then Doncaster was the most likely game with their poor home record, but I read Nelson kept us in the game in the first half.It was pleasing to see Luke Norris grabbed both,as we know he has potential and we need our Strikers stepping up.It wouldn`t be Gills if we didn`t make it nervy for the fans by conceding late on,but great that we held on for three big points.I have said in recent weeks that I have lost faith in Taylor, but my faith is coming back with us unbeaten in 6 games, and he deserves credit for turning it around when he was probably under big pressure before the Orient League game.

It would be great if we could get a result against Chesterfield next week,to send us fans off for Christmas happy.

I went up, just to give a brief summary to those who couldn't make it. First half we didn't keep the ball very well, particularly up front and were left thanking Stuart once again that we went in 0-0 at the break. Thankfully also their attackers, particularly May (i think) were shocking and couldn't hit a barn door (except for the penalty). We looked shaky at the back and were unable to string any passes together in midfield.

Second half was completely different, Norris started holding the ball up well, Loft and Dogherty driving from midfield, Dack full of energy and the back 4 looking solid at the back. Both goals in essence came from counter attacks which was nice to see given the pace we have in the team and how many recent goals have been from set-pieces. Second goal as most of you have seen by now was a beauty from Norris, really pleased for him to get the 2 goals and it capped a great second half performance by him, really hope he pushes on now.
Donny kept trying to push to the end, but i really can't see how they were a Championship side last year, very much devoid of quality up top and never really looked like scoring until the ref decided to give them a penalty when their striker fell over in the box, nice of the ref to also state 4 minutes of added time when it was more like 2, then play until 97 minutes!

Overall a deserved away win, which seems very strange to say! Real opportunity to push on now with the fixtures we have.

it seems we had our share of luck in clinching our first away win, but sometimes you need the rub of the green. Interesting to see both Keds and Cody appear to be dropping down the pecking order, could we see either go in the new year to free up funds (I assume they are both top earners at the club

Probably Keds, but I doubt if he'd let Cody go.......
