Evening Chaps! Honest question - where do you think you will finish this season? Also where do you see us finishing? I thought you might struggle a little to back up your really good season last year but I must say i'm surprised you're not further up the table. You don't seem to be clicking atm. We've been rubbish the last couple of weeks but Jonas coming back for Southampton might help to pick us back up again. We could do with some new blood, but I don't think Pards has any cash to spend. Whether MA will give him some in January remains to be seen. The squads very thin on the ground though.
7th for us if we get better luck with injuries. Hard to say for you guys, depends on injuries as though you have good young players, like us not a great deal of depth of quality/experience. Centre half, left or right back priority for January. I'd imagine Debuchy, but who knows on the centre back. We could also do with a Tom Ince type for the left to ease burden on Ben Arfa. We might need another central midfielder but realistically a max of two incoming.
All of the predictions above seem realistic. If the we finally start playing, 6th would be possible but I would be very surpirsed. You could get 6th as well, but I would be only slightly less surprised. I think we will finally get the CB we have needed for the last 2 years this window, and Debuchy may show up as well
If Liverpool hold onto Suarez, 6th, if not, 11th. I'd predict 7th-9th for us, barring any major surprises either way, along with a strong run in the Europa.
Sorry guys but I am not as confident as yourselves on our final position. Our next 8 games leading up to end Dec I believe will see us pick up only 6-7 points out of 24 and that is bottom 6 form . We desperately require signings in the Jan. transfer window, and the sooner the better. Knowing MA he'll leave it until the very last minute. Top 7 final position to me is pie in the sky and so I'd like us to use some of the growing band of excellent youngsters such as Good, Abeid, Streete, Campbell( when fit ) along with Bigi and Fergie.
