Honest Plumber

€140,000 was found by a plumber under a bath last week and another €60,000 found yesterday.The plumber handed it up,maybe he took a bundle who knows although the recent owner had some past history,a IRA hunger striker and could have been afraid.
The €140,000 question,would you have handed it up?

I'd turn up on Gambol's doorstep and sweep him off his feet for a romantic week in Venice. Then I'd have a ride in his gondola.

 

That's almost what the ****s charge to fix a faulty boiler anyway

 

I would have tried to contact McFeely told him what I found and go halves so there would be no come back but that could still have been hairy!

Or failing that blame the Polish painter.

 

I'd have invested it. At Cheltenham, probably. Then either paid it back and kept the profit, or gone into hiding.

You are probably right but to forget €200,000 the question now is how much did he actually take out?

 

You'd have had to be mental to have nicked it as you'd definitely have been caught

 

I'd have stashed it (buried it at the edge of a field I've permission to metal detect on) then if I'd not heard anything about it in two years dig it up.
