If we do sign Honda then that'll put paid to us getting Nissan sponsorship across our shirts! I wonder why that has never happened, by the way?

I think initially because the club and Nissan fell out a wee bit over the proposed stadium over by Nissan, and then we had a long deal with Vardy's, followed by the world recession which battered car makers.

I think we're unanimous that we'd love to see Nissan on the shirts, for all people point at the government handouts they've had, they have been wonderful for the city.

No less than 6 of my family work at Nissan, and 2 more work doing deliveries for off-shoot companies.

    Wouldn't buy one mind...

Don't think if Nissan were every to sponsor SAFC they would care what players are called.

It would be a massive deal for the club if they could pull a sponsor deal of with a company like that.

B/B our new navara has now done over 18000km in 3 months, and not a squeak.

I've heard the Navara's are top draw, just for me the cars are a bit dull.

Good cars, no doubt, just a bit uninspired, i'm sure they are great as machines, and things like the Navara are a bit different to Dukes!

Nissan would be the best sponsors we've ever had. A huge company of international repute. However I remember the "sugar puffs" effect from a few years ago. Would Nissans sponsorship of safc alienate buyers from the dark side? And would a company consider this a risk?
I'm also wondering whether our new partnership with Essentially will bring us a big name sponsor rather than some second rate housewives internet bingo ****e I mean site.

Seen the first one in a showroom last week, 1.6m baht for a ****ing juke. that equates to £32k. what a joke...

on a brighter side just seen this on sky sports, and could be good news if true.

Liverpool fear Luis Suarez may not be available for the start of the new season because of his Copa America commitments.

The 24-year-old has played a key role in Uruguay's run to the Copa America semi-finals but his country's unexpected success could now delay his return to Liverpool for pre-season training.

Hopefully he'll miss the first game of the season to..a massive player for any club.

32k for a ****ing Duke?? You can buy a Porsche Cayenne 3 year old here for 26k, what would you do...?

Aye, hopeful on Suarez, i share your opinion that he is the best player in the league, he can swing a game in a nano-second, sensational plaer (and when i said we should try get him after the World Cup, i was shot down in a fireball!)

Where's it been mentioned that we're signing Honda? Would be unreal but can't see it coming off.

Have I missed something? have we been linked with Honda? Now that would be a cracking signing.
On the Nissan sponorship topic, I think they will never sponsor us due to the fact that alot of there workforce are Newcastle fan's. I think they would prefer not to alienate their own workforce.

I dont think its ever been mentioned that we are signing him, it has been mentioend that Blackburn have a bid of £7 million in for him, so if they have a chance, why not us, and then its just escelated from there.

Blackburn also tried to get Ronaldinho, they are obviously willing to pay alot more on wage's than us.
As their owner's no **** all about football though, I can see a Newcastlesque situation of a few manager's and a relegation battle on the card's.
