On sky yesterday it was mentioned that since adkins took over we have only lost 2 games at home, one of which was against man utd. I didnt realise our home form was that good, it just goes to show the impact nige has had and if we can maintain that form throughout the season then it could be the difference between getting into the playoffs or a mid table finish.
Home form is crucial. A full house could spur the team on and encourage them when things aren't going well. Note, I said encourage. Some teams end up playing better away from home because of over the top criticism. Gain points at home in every match and win quite a few games away from home and you are top half easy.
Playing like we did yesturday will help us no end. I fully expect to see more people at the Milwall game
Most important thing with good home form is it keeps us up! Don't want to get too carried away after yesterday and a push for the playoffs would be a great end to the season in my honest opinion but equally happy with mid tabel and consolidation in our first season back. Unfortunately can't be at the Millwall game so that's one extra season ticket holder not there - can't believe my family would schedule a wedding for a match day!
When they count the people who are there, do they count all STs (whether there or not) then add on other tickets sales or do they actually count the number through the turnstiles? Always wondered.
I always wondered too, it must be the latter as sometimes attendance figures seem to be inflated compared to what we actually see in the ground. Anyone know for certain?
NC counts them all individually using the CCTV to make sure a mirror journo hasn't sneaked in by mistake.
Yeah I agree with previous comments that a full house will help the team perform even better and please do not get on the players back when we are not playing well just keep singing for 90mins no matter what the result is.
im sure I heard a few years back they count all ST's rather than those who just turned up, might have changed now I don't know
