Millwall boss Ian Holloway has dashed Bristol Roversâ chances of signing Jermaine Easter on loan. Rovers boss Darrell Clarke last week confirmed that an offer of terms had been quoted to Easterâs agent after the player had requested a lunch meeting in Bristol to investigate the possibility of a move closer to his hometown of Cardiff. Holloway, however, this morning told South London newspaper News Shopper, that: âJermaine could have gone out on loan and Iâve not let him go out on loan. Weâve had scouts at the last two games and they all wanted him. Bristol Rovers were one of them, so was Notts County. I told him Youâre one of the ones out of contract at the end of the season, get your agent busy because everybody needs to have a job in the summer. Heâs responded by scoring two goals in the last two games. I like what heâs doing so heâs back in the fold. Whether he starts, whether heâs on the bench, or whether heâs just travelling with the squad heâs earned the right to be there.â http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Millwa...sses-Bristol/story-24571825-detail/story.html Sounds like Ollie told Easter he is not in his plans and to get his agent to find a new club. His agent had done so and scouts have been watching him. Easter has been performing to try and impress a potential new club which has made Ollie think Easter could be useful. So Easter is no longer available for loan. I suspect if his performances drop, Easter may be available in January. Goldberg signing is a quick fix to replace White who left suddenly. His loan ends in a month so DC has a month to convince Ollie and Easter or to find someone else.
