According to the latest from The Metro, it's all over bar the compensation fee. However, as they also say that we said no to paying £4million, and THEY said no to our offer of £2million plus Jamie Mackie - I'm busy arranging for a large pinch of salt to be taken...

I thought the article said Blackburn said no to both offers? Frankly if we pay anything more than £3m I'd be very p*ssed off. His value dropped the moment Blackburn were relegated. They have done nothing more than develop a championship player. Why should they deserve a hefty sum for f***ing up his future?

Mackie would have to agree, and I'd be highly doubtful he would want to go to that graveyard of a club (nothing against the fans, just the owners).

Tony Fernandes publicly stated on twitter that Mackie was NOT for sale.....why would he then make himself look like a total tool and offer him to Blackburn.....any club in our position would go to tribunal to pay the VERY minimum we can.....this wont involve Mackie, nor will it involve £4million.

Just proves the papers are full of **** and say what they want to make it sound like they have a clue, which of course they don't.

I'd say split the tribunal would probably split the difference and expect us to pay 3 million compensation...

Totally agree Keen has accept that he took this great club down and lost the changing room. I think Keen is absolutely deluded and will find the Championship Hell as I still stand that its the most competitive league in the world! Can anyone honestly call who is going to win it next season?

The fees are usually on the low end so Id hope for £2-3m but anything over 4 would be too much.

Hilarious <laugh> Someone's in for a spanking by Tony :emoticon-0172-mooni

Anyway, puts my mind to rest. As good a confirmation you'll ever get. Now all we have to wait for is Keen's expression when they recieve £750k in compensation, priceless :)

A good job I saved all the photos, then! 0103731107898900.jpg <magic> All taken with a Nikon camera, this one at 1/250th of a second, this morning at the training ground just before 9am:eek:. This one titled "New QPR signing Hoilett being interviewed at the Club training ground" (digital SLR's save quite a bit of data in the image file, you see...!)

Although we'd be talking about Toto Schillaci as being the signing instead of Junior.
