is the new England manager & I thought we were going to appoint an Englishman. Still at least I´ve got over the shock of thinking it was Roy Hodgson of WBA.

What with the Ukraine underworld training it´s hooligans, killing stray dogs, targeting blacks (players & fans) & bombing the place & then the Polish trying to form an alliance with Germany & it´s own gangs to unit v the English, Rooney being band, having an ageing squad & being npower standard, I´am glad I´ll not be going.

Fishing in Holland sounds abit better to me.

Bets are now being placed on England not even making it though the group stages, still that will suit fat Blatter & his frog eating puppet I guess. I bet they´re still banging their heads against the wall over Chelsea making the CL final.

Excellent choice - has experience of international management and is less dodgy then Harry "Del Boy" Redknapp.

Harry is best at "wheeler dealering" he has a knack of finding quality players for a good price but that doesn't happen at international level.

Roy was my first choice - doesn't pander to the old guard (which was why he did so poorly at Liverpool) so we might finally see the end of the so called "Golden Generation".

Very happy with Hodgson - rated him for years. Agree with Bigfox's point about getting rid of the rotten core of the team, which should see the development of younger hungrier site. Yes, I think the Euros have come a bit early for us to stand any kind of a chance, but I'll just be looking for positives that we can take to the World Cup in two years time.

By the way, is it just me, or is this the worst built-up international tournament that England have ever been involved in? I even forgot it was happening until a couple of weeks ago!

Because we have no hope, the media haven't been forcing "spirit of 66" and all that down our throats like they usually do.

Might work out well - we go into Euros with the only expectation being not to embarrass themselves and England might actually not.
