Well, well Different formation Different approach Youngsters played and made good impact (which should shut some people up) Possibly a case of "one for the gaffer" as well Everything you need to know really....
4 at the back - you hit the nail on the head there PoB - we ADAPTED. Also we clearly went all out in the last 10 minutes - Wilbs could give 100% for that length of time (I personally would have given him longer, but hey ho) Sky Sports News kept marvelling at how Boro were holding on against 'wave after wave' of City attack. Well done the lads - and JP.
Makes you wonder who made the decisions. One went along with the manager playing 3-5-2 with the same players week in week out. One comes from the U21's set up. We play with three youngsters and one from the reserves. So I wonder who do you lot think made these decisions to change it like it was today? And also where did this Marlon Pack bloke come from? Played more forward and I've got to be honest I was really impressed with his play today. And we also got to see Redprints favourite player who looked to have changed the formation to which upped the pressure.
Arrived today at AG a little down and worried for my/our club, but shocked at team and formation, we were bloody brilliant today, made Boro look average, and more than anything, bloody deserved to win IMO, especially with a late 'un eh? But i must say as one who always speaks about us being some of the most fickle fans in the country ( still stand by that too), a massive WELL DONE to all the fans today, your support and the noise today was IMMENSE. I tip my cap to one and all, and hope it continues, this is only one game and we have to back it up moving forward, so its not a one-off, but i left AG today buzzing big time.I hope it does continue, dare i start to feel hopeful?
my comments in the week Wilbs to come on about 60 mins or so .... especially for the next few games to freshen him up
