There's no doubt that Clint Hill is nearing the end of his playing career but I sincerely hope that the club bring him into the management team in some form of player/coaching role as he clearly is made of the right stuff. The fact that in the last two matches he has volunteered to sacrifice himself for the team shows his judgement to be spot-on and he clearly has the makings of a manager who would have the respect of his players.

He'd probably be no more than a back-up next season but his presence would definitely be a benefit to the club...

Did anyone watch the highlights on the football league show....When he was interviewed he said " we are not mercenaries we are a band of brothers" ,
He was so proud....Sure he will stay in some capacity...

I think that may be the last match of his career, he's a proud man and I think he looks like he knows he can't carry on.

I certainly want him to stay on as a coach and maybe emergency CB.

Thought his "no mercenaries ...band of brothers" interview was very significant and indicative of a genuinely developing team spirit which has been evidently missing for so long. How they can build on that whilst making the Addison's which so clearly need to be made to have any chance of adapting to the Premiership will be a huge challenge.

It's the 'band of brothers' attitude that got us through the play-offs and I'm pretty sure it would have been instilled by the likes of Hill and Barton more than from the manager.

Rio and the chief 1st choice with dunne and hill as backup sounds good to me.

So you want 3 out of our 4 CBs to be 35 or older?

Palace persevered with ex-R's Gabbidon & Delaney, but we definitely need an a younger, but still experienced CB to line-up with Ned our starting line-up.
