    Just a quick hello from what I am reliably informed is your third female member.
    Been following Newcastle since the end of the second Keegan days, (I think it was the coventry match).
    Admittedly I only watched it cos the boyf was into NUFC, but I have to be honest, of all the teams I have ever seen, my reaction to NUFC was a revelation.
    Theres something about this team, whether its the atmosphere created by the fans, the history, the struggle, the success and failure, the emotional rollercoaster that every match seems to engender, they have me hooked.
    I dont know enough about football to really be able to make informed arguements, but after checking this forum out I thought I better sign in just in case my gut ever demands that I open my uninformed gob and say something.
    My education is ongoing, and Im willing to admit that I can be wrong... (yes, I am a real girl who can admit shes not always right) and I will probably lurk more than I post, but this is just to introduce myself.

    (BTW the name stands for I Was A Football Virgin Until -...... and you always remember your first ;) )

    My first toon game was a Coventry match,

    Highfield Road
    Coventry 5-1 Newcastle
    the fact Alan Shearer got a 90th minute consolation made the whole experience worth while !

    I will believe that you admit when you're wrong, for now.

    I will also use this as evidence to wor lass that it is possible for a female to be wrong. Not sure she will take it as solid evidence though!
