Wound up in the High Court today, another famous 'little' club bites the dust... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hereford-worcester-30542821
That was what the current owners were hoping to be able to do. However, as the ground is council owned I nevr understood how the lesee would be able to profgit from that. The vast majority of Hereford supporters will be celebrating tonight as they can start afresh & be clear of owners that continually fail to pass the FA's fit & proper test. As always this is sad, but nowhere as bad as other winding up's have been.
I do too, providing they are in pairs & bouncing ................ but very sad to see the club go under.
I understand that the "new club" will be making their first appearance on Boxing Day in a friendly at Redditch. This is to replace the planned league match against the now defunct club. The new name will be Hereford FC.
