Hereford looks like they may be getting wound up meaning we will lose them from the Conference Prem. As a result of this, Chester who was the last team to be relegated from the Conference Prem, will be re-instated back to the Conference Prem in Hereford's place. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27648903 I am not sure how much Hereford still owe as it doesnt say in the link. But what makes me mad is I bet its hardly anything to most clubs. Surely a donation from clubs can help save Hereford. No one wants to see a football club die. I suppose it breaks a rule somewhere but common sense must win here. As a side note from this, here is a quote taken from the BBC link... I would guess the same will apply in our case vs Wycombe. The season is not technically over yet. So if the FA & Football League, who said they will investigate Rovers complaint, decide to give further punishment (points deduction) to Wycombe then it will effect the table now and not be deducted next season??
Sad to see a club go under no matter who they are. 2 weeks wages from Rooney would probably save them, after all i doubt he'd miss it!
I can see happening more and more. If these rich owners of Premiership clubs love football so much then why not help out clubs like this but no they prefer to waste money on trying to buy league titles and trophies which so many fell to do
It was only a matter of time, Hereford have been teetering on the bring for several years. As sad as it is it may be worth them winding up and a new club starting afresh debt free.
The Premiership is bleeding English football dry. A fraction of that TV bonanza would go a very long way towards keeping grass roots alive.
I hope Dyke sees how precariously balanced financially teams down the pyramid are and thinks twice about bringing in this stupid Div 3 as if he does he will sound the death knell for a lot more clubs financially. Dyke take note!
dyke dont care. as far as he is concerned, lower league football should accept his fate for the good of the national team!
The winding up petition brought by Martin Foyle against Hereford United has been heard in the High Courts this morning and has been adjourned for 28 days. The adjournment will give both sides time to continue negotiations. http://www.herefordunited.co.uk/news/article/case-adjourned-020614-1592445.aspx 28 days. a life line for hereford. however if they fail, the league fixtures would be out by then so could be a lot of changes!
Tweet from Hereford: https://twitter.com/HerefordUnited1/status/474965675975655425 "Football Conference Meeting: Hereford United given until Saturday morning to meet creditor payments and retain Conference Premier Status." In the case of Hereford United (1939) Ltd, (Company Number 355272) being represented by Chairman David Keyte and Director Andrew Green the Board unanimously agreed that the club can retain membership of the Ltd Company and their place in the Football Conference Premier Division providing financial payments are secured as directed by the Board. Failure to meet the financial conditions imposed the clubs membership would be revoked. http://wall.herefordunited.co.uk/Event/Bulls_Wall/117813403 We could lose them tomorrow from the League!!
They'll probably stagger through the season then at some point get a big points reduction for going into administration. Seems to happen regularly at this level.
