Would take him on loan again coming January. It was just 3rd Round cup tie against Leeds, but the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. God knows what was going through everyones heads when he scored the winner. Also his winner against Sunderland got us 2 valuable points which made the difference at the end. Not saying that he was our lone saviour or something like that, but he had an impact on the way our season turned around after January.
Why don't we just re-sign him permanently? He can still do a job, he's stated he wants to coach here when he retires, so maybe having him finish his days with us would be both a practical and sentimental move for both parties.
He's great as an impact sub, he still has that killer instinct that never dies, but he'll be on mega wages in America, and he's just not worth that money any more.
