Bruce is ****. That's why. Look at Pardew. He went on, and on, and on about ambition and about aiming higher and getting Ashley involved. Now there's a buzz of ambition around us and some top players are considering us who we're gunning for. Look at Bruce. He's barely said a word and he's just murmured some boring **** about some average players. There's little worthy of any stories, and the stories which do come out show little excitement or ambition. He needs to sort it out.
I'd like to be able to say that I disagree with you, but I can't. My one hope is that the season has only recently ended, meaning that Steve Bruce and Co are having their summer break before starting the hard work of signing some quality players. I have to say that despite many of us voicing our concerns about the signing of loan players, Steve Bruce has come out in the press stating that he will be looking to bring in loan players again, as he doesn't see anything wrong with loan players. The problem is, many of us do! Save the loan player system for January Brucey, because we will undoubtedly need them then, not at the start of the season!
Newcastle's manager, just like your good self, is full of hot air...We can all talk about signing this one and that one, but you havn't signed anybody yet.. Give me a realist such as Bruce any day of the week, at least he says it as it is!
Bruce hasn't learned from his experiences from over reliance on the loan system from the season past. It will be his undoing again. It's ridiculous for a club like ours to be constantly parading other clubs wannabees or cast offs. How can you attract top quality players when you have half the team treating the field as if it's a bus stop to some place else?
You've totally missed my point and made yourself look like a mong. Read it properly. YES, Pardew is full of hot air. That's my point. He talks a talk and creates a PR buzz. Whether it's true or not, and whether it's credible or not, it creates an aura of ambition and interest around us. Even when a club doesn't have permission to talk to a player, there's still one way they can communicate to him. Through the media. If you use PR to give out the right message, it can work wonders. Bruce hasn't done that. He hasn't created any buzz, any sensation, nothing. In fact, as of late, it seems to have downplayed ambitions more than anything else.
As said earlier your opinion is mag biased. If Liverpool want to spend £15 -£20m for him then that is up to them i say let the lad decide his own future.
It isn't mag biased. I'd tell you if it was. It's just UNbiased, and genuinely what I think as a football fan. What would you expect me to say if Henderson was part of some other team? That he's worth £15-£20mill? No chance.
It seems to be the case, and I don't particularly blame him really. However, whilst it deals with fans, I'm not sure if it gives out the right messages to prospective players. That's the only downfall. It isn't the be all and end all of transfers though. It just helps.
