Sadly I have to announce that we lost a little Addick last week, after battling cancer for a year my dog was put down on Friday <cry>

But better news is that I'm getting two Boarder Collies (they are father & son) tomorrow for which I need names... so far I have come up with..

    1) Reg & Ron (after the Cray brothers)
    2) Stan & Olly (Lauel & Hardy)
    3) Jackie & Bobby (after the Charlton bros.)
    4) Albert & Harold (Steptoe & son)

    Any ideas?

    <cheers>

Killer and Flash? 2 Border collies will certainly keep you busy. I had a mongrel which was half border collie and his intelligence was amazing.

Got a border collie crossed with a lurcher back in England, when my mum was ill she was in a hospital bed in the lounge. She told the dog to go get my dad, so it jumped up on the wall, hit the latch to open the door, ran up the stairs, did the same on the bedroom door, jumped on the bed and licked his face to wake him up, incredibly smart.

Sorry to hear that news, AllHell. My sympathies are with you.

    How about Costa and Fortune?

    Or Harvey and Floyd?

    Curbs and Gritty?

I can't really have animals due to severe allergies, but I have daftly promised to buy the missus a pug in January. I would like it to be called Urquhart, but she's not keen for some strange reason.

Sorry to hear about your dog, pets become a large part of any family and untimely deaths are always an awful affair.

As for names, I'd avoid naming them after the krays. I like the suggestion of killer and flash, though shouting killer in the park may turn a few heads <laugh>.

Terribly sorry to hear about Button, AllHell - must have put up a real scrap. <peacedove>

I'd go for Ponders' suggestion of Harvey and Floyd.

My goldfish were called Killer and Flash and I also have one called Fat Boy, truly the Ralph Milne of goldfish.

Ponders, when you say you've agreed to get your wife a pug, are you absolutely certain she's not expecting a nice new 308? <laugh>

Sorry about the loss AllH. As for dog names, I like Ponders suggestion but Costa and Fish is more amusing. I had a budgie named after the Deportivo La Coruña manager called Arsenio, and another called Mendonca.

Sorry to hear about pets passing away. We've had our new tibetan terrier pup for two months and she is a force of nature. It's like having another child only more destructive. But utterly gorgeous dog though and we love her to bits. No way we can have a Christmas tree as she'd eat it so all the decorations are on the ceiling. As for names how about Misty & Floyd?

Right I have got them home, the older one is quite laid back he found my old dog's bed and is catching up with some zzzzzzzzz. The younger one has spent all afternoon trying to hump my leg! (perhaps I should call him Pardew?)
