Off Topic Help Needed- Gran Canaria

Hi All.
I was meant to be staying on my mates yacht in Mogan in Gran Canaria in a few weeks (not a Smug sized billionaires yacht btw).
He's now pissing off across the Atlantic on a race so I have a flight booked for 3 nights and no location yet.
Anyone been to Gran Canaria?
Any recommendations as to which resorts or hotels are best please?
I've not been before that's all.
I'm looking for a place near the beach and with a few sports type bars around.

That's what I love about our community on here. Despite all of the piss-taking and banter, when someone is in a tight spot we all come together with such compassion to help out

**** it.. i'm going to stay in Las Palmas, the capitol.
That way I'm covered if it pisses it down as I'll then be on a city tour.

 

Fair enough but what's the point in asking if you're just going to ignore all the advise that we've given!!!

 

Have a look at Booking.com they will give you a range of prices for all kinds of accommodation for your dates.

 

They're just in it for the money, we didn't expect any financial reward for our help.
