I think they had warnings as they were too boisterous for the sedate atmosphere they are trying to encourage in the KC. A lot of tutting by those around them and stewards having a word. A Polish lad goes with some English mates near where I sit and I wish a few more were as enthusiastic as him. Instead the people around where he is give the impression they wish he would go sit elsewhere.
What happened to that polish lad that used to post on here. He set up a polish tigers website. He was a sound lad.
Shame really, I don't mind a bit of noise. Unless it's the dozy bird behind me who shrieks whenever our goal is threatened! Speaking of boisterous, there was an incident a few seasons ago when some woman was pushed over her seat and onto the walkway in front as we celebrated a goal. Unless it was the aforementioned woman!
On Radio Humberside after the game: Next caller: 'Dave' (or whatever his name was) from Hull..... "Now then Mike, Ahm a Liverpool fan, but took me nephew to see City today" .....went on to say how class we were, how great Tom Huddlestone is etc, etc.... Next text: 'Dave 2' (or whatever his name was) from Driffield...... "Newcastle fan, but an East Yorkshire native - City have left a warm glow in my heart today, so pleased for them - they've done East Yorkshire proud" a lad at work, a massive Man Utd fan who refers to them as 'we' has started also referring to City as 'we'..... We seem to have a few local 'City sympathisers' - who if their kids took up an interest in City, would/could possibly use the kids interest to take up the same interest too. It's the same reason I said the City marketing department should be doing more.... HCAFC should have 'pop-up' shops in Beverley, Bridlington and possibly Scarborough for a couple of months for Christmas, and maybe a month or so at the seaside resorts in summer. Take advantage of reduced rents on vacant units, everywhere has them.
It was very telling on Saturday.... 6-0 up. We called for West stand, South stand and North stand to all "give us a song" - North stand were the only ones who attempted anything as a response.
