I'm no fan of Hughes either, but the whole club infrastructure has been built around him so it's not practical to change at the moment. The only 'shock' so far was against Swansea. A draw at Norwich was okay and nobody expected us to beat City, Chelsea or Spurs. I think we should be on five points at the moment. A win against West Ham is a must though!
So having achieved 40% of what you expect is acceptable? Not a criticism of you at all, but when you think of it as 40%, it looks different doesn't it?
Well that head wobble is getting worse I don't actually rate me as a manager that why I thought he was ideal for the England job . I think we should go for Kenny Jacket as he sounds like a nice dish ... I do miss potatoes !!!!
Unfortunately Hughes will not get a couple of seasons. Whether we like it or not, and I hate the expression, football is a results business. In a couple of seasons we could conceivably be in league one. There are no Premier league Chairmen that will take that sort of risk these days, even the clubs that have traditionally stuck by their Managers, Liverpool for example, no longer do so because they just can't afford to. I too, am against managerial revolving doors, but the fact remains the results aren't coming and something has to change, and that is a decision that Fernandez and Hughes have to sort out. If that change is to be tactical or personnel, only time will tell, but I like many others believe Monday night's game is key.
i feel ive been in a coma and woken up in 2009 where we change the manager every 6 months, MH has till Xmas if were still in the brown sticky stuff he will be history.
He's not going anywhere. 1. He won't walk 2. Fernandez is scared of him 3. the money backers aren't going to stump up the pay off money for him and his boys (probably as much as the parachute payment)
No, 40% is not acceptable but it only equates to three points. My original pre season prediction was to finish on 51 points which I thought was realistic. There are 10 must-win home games: WHU, Reading, S'hampton, Villa, Fulham, WBA, Norwich, Sunderland, Wigan and Stoke. A further ten points from 23 matches must be do-able to see us safe. It must come right soon!
Isn't that what this forum is about, open discussion and debate? I suggest you read all the posts before posting yourself!
How does anyone on here know how long Hughes has? And, just because you don't agree with what's been posted doesn't make it twaddle!
Relegation will come from 3 of .....reading,saints,norwich,qpr,swansea or wigan......3 of us will be back in the championship next season.....as the odds stand now then .....reading,qpr and saints look favorite but with some management changes then this could change.....
