Twitter rumours suggesting he's close to coming on loan. May as well scrap the EDS squad and forget about our academy status if he gets a chance ahead of Tom Hitchcock.

Maybe they feel Hitchcock isn't ready/up to it?

It may be that Kane is a better player but we would only be grooming him for Tottenham. I would much prefer to try shining our rough diamonds rather than those for other clubs.

Cant disagree with your comment, but we only have 2 fit strikers, surely there is room, for 2 youngsters.

Yes, probably Kane is closer to first team selection, compared to Hitchcock, but I would suggest our squad needs that many options, considering the number of games we have.

Kane played a bit for us until he got injured and didn't look up to it TBH.Possibly he has progressed and Championship defences won't be as good at stopping him but I didn't rate him at all.

Harry Kane started his first match for the England Under-21 team against San Marino and scored a hat-trick in their 4 – 0 win. Tottenham’s Tom Carroll, on loan with Queen’s Park Rangers, played his part for Gareth Southgate’s side.

England were ahead in the opening minutes when Michael Keane scored after Carroll’s corner had been flicked on. After that Kane took over the scoring with his hat-trick. His first came from the penalty spot just before half-time. San Marino had been reduced to ten men, the goalkeeper having been sent off when conceding the penalty. Kane added his second after 66 minutes. When played in, his first shot was straight at the goalkeeper but he scored with the rebound. He then made it three for him personally in the 89th minute from a tight angle for a very comfortable England 4 – 0 win.
Harry Kane has been a regular for the England under-age teams, having appeared at Under-17 and Under-19 level and played for the Under-20 team in the U-20 World Cup this summer, scoring once. In total he has made 20 appearances for the different teams and scored 9 goals. This is his first season with the Under-21 squad and he had made 3 substitute appearances before his full debut in San Marino which brought his first goals at this level. Just turned 20 years of age in July, Kane has always produced the performances at the different levels for England.
Harry Kane has been a prolific goal scorer for the Tottenham youth teams and now at Under-21 level. He made his debut for Spurs in 2011 against Hearts and played with composure but missed the opportunity of a debut goal when the goalkeeper saved his penalty. His first Spurs goal came later in the competition against Shamrock Rovers in Dublin in a 4 – 0 win.
Over the past three seasons Kane has been on loan with Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City to gain experience. This year he has been given an opportunity by Andre Villas-Boas in the Europa League and Capital One Cup matches this season. He is a hard-working player with an eye for goal and can play from the left of midfield.
The England Under-21 team play at Ipswich on Tuesday evening against Lithuania.

But then, you are used to watching Norwich, so your view on what is a good player is obviously diminished!

Cant argue with that logic - spot on.

Appears a few other faculties are diminished as well.

Yes and it backfired a bit when he scored I think. That would explain why we haven't seen him since.

Ok considering the teams we have played are all in the top half of the Prem apart from Stoke.Of course we have not taken on the likes of Yeovil and Barnsley.
