I seemed to have missed this. Not sure if any of you have seen it. Taken from the Post last Tuesday after the Rochdale game. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/believ...tory-20992619-detail/story.html#ixzz2zbVVBtj1 Clarke confirmed that Ellis Harrison is out-of-favour after choosing to place two youth team players â Jamie Lucas and Dominic Thomas â on the bench instead. He said: "Ideally, you are looking to make four or five changes to freshen things up in situations where you have a quick turnaround in games like we have this weekend. Our lack of strength and depth at the moment doesn't help and it is not ideal to be chucking young lads on the bench in a game like that. They are all learning the game and these occasions are good for their development, but they are not what we need right now. I have worked with Ellis across the season and when he starts listening to staff members and doing things in the right way then he will be selected again. People are always telling Ellis things, but they don't seem to be registering with him for whatever reason at the moment. I've had a conversation with Ellis and he needs to start taking things on board and show me that he can change."
i seen the 1st part of that thread when it was made but i didnt bother going back as it looked like people were just moaning about a facebook status of his saying he was not injured and people just putting 2 and 2 together and coming out with crap, so i didnt bother going back to that thread.
He's a raw talent and maybe some of the finer points of the game have passed him by. His positional play always looked pretty poor. But they knew this when they gave him a three year deal. I think his raw unpredictability was what made him stand out. He's one of those players who you think doesn't even know what he's going to do next. But he's definitely lost the hunger he had when he first came on the scene. I hope he can turn it around because we could do with Ellis at his best.
We know what he can do when he's in the mood - end of last season he was one of our stand out performers. It's good management by DC - the lad needs to learn from wiser heads than his if he wants a successful career in football. If not, he can ship out.
Agree with Gastro. Very raw, very unpredictable, but this season he would've been better off in the Bristol Rugby team as all his shots seem to have gone out of the stadium.
Maybe with him being from the Valleys he can't understand what your golf champion come football manager is trying to say?
Sadly there's no excuse to be made for Harrison. He's 20, made his debut 3 years ago in 2011; and has been with us through the youth teams. If he's mucking us about now then it's better he shuts the door on his way out.
Totally agree the likes of Holloway and Johnson would of got shot of him no questions asked with his attitude another player who's to big for his boots no lost to us if leaves IMO just an below average player (when he wants to be).
