Saw we have been linked with him today, not sure about you but I think defiantly worth a gamble. Warnock could definatly get him back to his best and the 'marquee' big signing the board wants. Only stumble would be wages but pay as you play would be glorious. Thoughts??
Would definately add some much need quality though not sure how long would take to get match fit having been out for so long.
He's only played a handful of games over the past four years;that doesn't bode well for the future, and he's older. Can anybody think of another player who has come back to proper fitness after such a long layoff? I'm sure there are exceptions but you'd have to say that it's extremely unlikely that he could be relied upon.
Sicknote. Man Ure would be keeping him if he wasn't crock so why would we take him? Not worth the risk
would be a quality signing if he can stay fit would also add a good top level experience to our squad
Buy obtaining the biggest cripple in Premier League history, not his fault i know! And the only intent it would show, is we'll take anything nobody else wants! The name Woodgate was banded around to, need i say more?
i'd take him & try him out in pre-season if the cap fits after that then we got a bargain depending on what he wants.
Hes one of those select group of players who can either be a player who has never got over his injuries and is a massive drain on wages or he could prove his fitness and be the player he was at the 2006 WC where he was brilliant. A risk but if he achieved the latter, he could be brilliant
Have to agree that if there was any possibility he was going to regain his fitness, then Man U. would keep him. Shame, terrific player. A fit Hargreaves would be the first name on my team sheet!
