Just read on OTIB that they have both gone! Harewood would of had to been paid off but Shorey's contract ends tomorrow. Does anyone else know if this is true or not?
Just another 2 wasters who joined us for some unknown reason and then disappeared without a trace after doing nothing for us. Must be another area of footballing management at which we lead the pack in failure and what a waste of valuable resources that could have, and should have, been spent more wisely if we had someone running the show who knew the hell what they were doing. Let's see if the transfer window gets us better success to do the rebuild.
i wasn't upset was just pointing out the options on the bench at that time the best choice was shorey which shows our lack in depth at the moment

Its not always the mugs running the show that show bad judgement..
And to top it off.! All over OTIB there are loads who think Fontaine should be given another chance with us ****s sake, How many chances do they want to give him?? Cant get in Yeovils side and they are bottom? He might be a nice bloke etc, but it would surely be best for both parties if he moves on now.. amazes me how some fans slate these players and then start crying when we move them on cos it hasn't worked out.
I think after the Walsall game the writing was on the wall that he was going as it is rare that a sub is subbed unless the manager is not happy with what they are doing. For me I don't see the point in paying to have him at the club when we already what Joe who plays in the same position that cant get in the first team. I didn't know Harewood was confirmed, just expected to be going as again he is down the pecking order behind Taylor and Burns, and likely the manager will look to free up the wages to bring in another striker. Turning our heads to arrivals, how many fans will have the banners out to welcome Fonts back to the club. Couldn't get in our team under SOD this season and even GJ hasn't been playing him at Yeovil. Be interesting to see if SC has any plans for him
Dont think SC fancies Ryan Taylor either, shame I thought he had a bit about him, but I don't think he'll be around after Jan either.!
SC reminds me of a West Country GJ. Full of quips and like how he shows from the dug out. More importantly he's rid of Shorey and Harewood which gives me hope for his judgement although I had hope for Taylor with a run of games. I think (pray) he's got the measure of Wagstaffe - Moloney is a far better WB. After we're rid of Wagstaffe from the 1st 11 then I hope he can bring in a CM on loan for Gillett until Kelly's fit. One terror - has SC got a son !
Good, Shorey is useless, overrated, and living off a reputation from when Reading first got promoted. A complete prat only here for a payday which quite frankly he wasn't even close to being worth half of. Another huge black spot in SOD's time with us.
Speaking to some of my City mates back in UK, there is a rumour going round that Shorey was on £15k a week at City and was yet another signing sanctioned by the board and not the manager (David James anyone!!). I hope this is not true as yet again it would have been a hugh waste of precious funds, and worse it shows the boards obsession with signing players who are past their best and once played for England, in the believe that they can save/inspire the team behind the managers back. Anyone else heard the rumour or can confirm/deny if this is true??
