It was our first away clean sheet today and we finally stopped the rot on not getting anything away for 6 games. We should of really won today as Blackpool aren't what they used to be and currently lacking in form. So was it a point gained or 2 points dropped?
One gained Blackpool are used to playing on their sandpit although Mr Blueallthrough made them play passing football since he has been gone they have reverted to the ball in the air most of the time.
I did hear quite a few times. "Nice passing movement there from city" "if the pitch was good that could of been something" or along those lines. Why has it suddenly got bad? Hasn't been like that all season has it?
that is a good result for us even though we have dropped to 24th and Peterboro won, 'cos Barnsley, Sheff Wed and Huddersfield all lost. and no team in the bottom half could be safe with only 3 wins separating them
A point gained on a horrible pitch. We were the better team in the second half and possibly should have won. I'm sure that's hoe SO'D saw it but he will not admit that in public. Tuesday will be tough.
It doesn't matter being bottom right now. It's more important we creep closer to safety and we have. It is mathematically possible that one win will see us clear. There are a lot of teams down with us here in the stink - but only one that has Sean O'Driscoll. Happy(ish) days!
Hell yeah!! We may be bottom again, however every point gained is dragging us towards that group above us, who are now very much in our sights and we have some big 6 pointers against some of them. If we do go down at least we are making a fight of it, as at one point we looked like being well adrift come May, whereas now it looks most likely to go to the wire, with any 3 from 9 or 10 teams for the drop. This kind of scenario builds a teams confidence, only a month ago we were talking of having to top a 4 team mini league, that no longer looks likely, so every point gained is vital. I fear for Huddersfield they are in freefall and a horrible goal difference to boot.
Hard earned point from what I've heard and had it not been for Heaton we'd have come home with nowt. As long as we can stay in winning mode at home (maybe after Tuesday!!) and pick up the odd point on the road we might just survive. Can't believe Blackburn lost at home to Peterborough.....
I love how in the sun they make Blackpool out to be the better side and we were lucky to get a point! They say about Blackpool's shots, Ince first shot on 43 mins which rolled to Heaton? We only get the disallowed goal mention, Ah well.
100% happy would be happy to take a point in each of our away games to the seasons end. But we need to win our home games.
This is a point gained, could be the one that saves our Championship status...with the crowd right behind the lads, we can definately win our next two home games...come on everyone, forget any negatives, get behind all the players & cheer them on to two great wins, we can do this & make it a finish to the season that we will never forget...COYR's
Nice early birthday present and will take the point. Difficult home game coming up but a lot, if not all, the pundits said we would lose nearly all of our last home games. They were wrong!
Just seen the match highlights. I wouldn't say it was 2 points dropped, I would say it was 2 points ROBBED unbelievable. Davies WAS onside when Moloney's shot came in! Thanks lino!
WE WUZ ROBBED From the scrap of the match shown on BBC last night, Davies was level with last defender when Moloney shot!!!!!! The defender stayed rooted to the spot as the shot went past him and spilled by Gilks. Davies like all good strikers went toward goal a split second after Moloney hit it. SO'D does not seem the sort to even mention such things in his public interviews but I'll bet he was absolutely angry about yet another less than average decision by a linesman or referee.
Just watched it rewound it watched it again there was no way he was offside. The only possible thing was the tv camera angle but I can't see if that would of made a difference it was on side. I also noticed when Maloney went past Ince he just stopped you would of thought he would of tracked back for his old man. But a big shout out for Tom yet another fantastic save
Why are you reading / buying that despicable piece of ****? We told you about their lies about Liverpool at Hillsborough. Please Shiny find a newspaper that actually tries to print the NEWS.
Point gained SOD has made us difficult to beat Has Gibson died, because he seems to have been reincarnated as Heaton
Despite going bottom we have to be happy with our point. it sounds like a decent performance as well - many positives to take from it (including a clean sheet)
