Morning all. I just wanted to be the first to wish you all a Happy Takeover Day. 18/8/2011, a date we will always remember with fond memories and a day that should be declared a public holiday to all R's fans and Shepards Bush. Well let's hope it's always remembered with fond memories, which I'm sure will be the case if as we all hope Mittal/Bhatia is indeed involved heavily in the takeover. Not long to go now till we find out what really has been going on and what is planned for the immediate future. What players will we try and sign? What players will actually come to us? Will there be a dramatic reduction in ticket prices? Now that the goons have gone, will Warnocks muzzle come off and will he tell us his feelings over the actions of the goons over the last couple of months? I have a feeling it will be a busy day on here, but for a change it will be for positive reasons. I hope this excites the players as much as it does all of us and brings about a reversal of fortunes on the pitch on Saturday at Goodison. Again, A very Happy Takeover day to you all.
good post lone R and am totally with you. I just wish this could have been sorted Preseason , but i am very happy it has been sorted at last. I too cannot wait to see Warnock has to say , but I have a feeling he will keep some opinions to himself, and again prove what a master class he really is. Going for players and actually getting them in are two different things in my book. Got a feeling Crouch will be one we go for but i hope we get two classy full backs to be honest. fingers crossed, this could be a very interesting 13 days.
Parker and Crouch are two players Warnock have mentioned that if he had the money he would definitely go for. After Fernandez publicly stating the manager should have what he wants and with reports that we have bid for Parker, it should be an interesting week. I'm so excited I could pee!
Press conference at 2pm, but it was mentioned that an announcement would be made this morning regarding the details of the takeover.

I'm gutted, I've just had two weeks off work and now I've just started a week of nights so I'll be sleeping while all the excitement's going on, I hope everyone gets what they wish for and I'll get excited on my own later

Morning Ellers and all you other happy, happy QPR afficianado's on this fine morning! Loads of rumour and speculation as to what happens after the takeover but, TBH, I'm just glad they're going. Yes. thanks for saving the Club and all that but, lets not delude ourselves that they have QPR at heart. For Briatore it was an ego-centric plaything, and a fast food restaurant for the ageing Chelski supporting Goblin. They may have saved us but they made us a laughing stock and would have ruined the Club given long enough. Lets remember that NW got us to where we are. All we ever wanted was for him to be left alone to get on with his work......maybe now he'll be backed properly and we can look forward to having a fighting chance. We are QPR!
Does anybody know if Fernandez has taken out a loan to buy the club and now put the club further into debt or is he financing the purchase with his own funds? Think this is important!!
Good to see you here Ellers. Any thoughts on whether the Swiss Tony deal involves paying Flav back the loan on the ground or do we think the TanMan still has his hooks into us?
Not to put a downer on the day but wouldn't we all look like a right bunch of t*ts if the announcement was - 'The continued support of Flavio and Bernie at QPR, amid the failed takeover of Fernandez.' And furthermore their long term plans for QPR.
Reading old news mate,Back to Chelsea now. Don't really care about Swans. just great to be back in the Prem. Nice to turn on the tv or radio and hear them talking about QPR. Nice to pick up a paper and have more than 10 lines. Really happy that T&C are gone, it's because of them that QPR were put in this mess. I know Amit will do a proper job and our club will be run properly. Don't care if we don't spend £20m on one player as long as the manager gets the funds that he needs (unlike he did with T&C involved). I think GP may get some sort of job within the club (hospitality or something) as i cannot see them getting rid of him but who knows. A new era for our great club i see. Ellers
