While I described this game as "must-win" beforehand, I've changed my perspective slightly now. I thought we were goners after Gardner's red card but credit to the lads for refusing to throw the towel in. I feel tonight's point will be huge at the end of the season. Wigan will almost certainly win tomorrow because Swansea are already on their summer holidays (they have been since they won the Carling Cup) and will be missing Michu. If we'd lost we'd have been in the bottom three, which would've been a psychological hammer blow, but as it is we'll stay with our heads above water for now. I think the loss of Gardner could be a good thing since he's been dire since PDC came in (strange because he was the only outfield player who did well in the last few weeks of MON's tenure.) Playing at the same time as the other relegation-threatened teams next week will help us I think. Saints are a good team, but we beat them down there, and they seem to have gone off the boil recently. All in all, I'm feeling relatively upbeat, a massive contrast to half time when I was preparing myself for the reality of going to Bournemouth et al next season. Ha'way the lads.
