I hope Barmby is just keeping his powder dry when it comes to the transfer market, because TBH we haven't seen much evidence that he'll be a 'wheeler dealer' yet.
Another one missed. He was obviously available and we obviously wanted him, why didn't that come off? It makes no sense.
I seem to remember OLM and premiertiger were told we were after him. I remember one of them saying that we'd asked about a loan and been told we could have him permanently if we wanted so we made an offer, what happened after that seems to be a mystery.
Maybe, but it was over a month ago that we wanted him so you'd have thought Boro weren't involved until now.
Yeah we may not have found out he was available again. Cant say I'm too fussed about missing out on him as he is a winger, which we dont particularly need. However, what frustrates me is another one of our rivals strengthening their squad when we are not.
Yeah I agree. I wouldn't mind another winger because Stewart and Brady whilst skillful aren't achieveing much lately, but yes a striker is the priority.
Stewart showed glimpses against Brighton that he was nearly back to his pre-injury form, however I wish he would hit the byline more, like he used to.
Completely agree. I say it all the time. Straight after his injury he was hitting the byline every time and making goals left, right and centre. Now he's obsessed with cutting inside and he hasn't had any success with it at all. Not once has he achieved anything at all by cutting inside. When you see his success with hitting the byline and his success with cutting in, it's ridiculous that he still even considers coming inside.
Maybe. He seems to have a good shot on him so he might have been instructed to come in and shoot more.
Pretty stupid considering we have no wingers. Obviously Brady and Stewart, but then later in a game when we bring Brady off, McLean gets shoved on the wing. If we're in need of a win it would be nice to switch to a 4-4-2 rather than bringing on strikers that only end up playing out wide.
