Ignore the inbreds. To finish one point above us and act like they won the league, lol sad sad 5under1and. I've got to say well done to West Brom though, a good fight back and deserve to join us in staying in the best league in the world. You don't get end of season days like this in other countries.

 

Bet Mrs Doubtfire celebrated like he'd won the league, after finally getting one over us haha. Thats if his January celebration is anything else to go by!

 

Well, haven't they got more to be proud of? They finished in the top half, we didn't. They have a better board than ours. They have a better manager than ours.

It was our first season back. And they were apprantely gunning for Europe! They've only JUST finished in the top half...after beating a very poor West Ham team. And frankly...Steve Bruce better than Alan Pardew? Really? At the worst Pardew and Bruce are on a similar pegging. Stop the negativity man!

 

Wow cheer up mate, the world didn't end.....yet, that's next year.

 

How can anybody be pessimistic? You're just gutted because we threw away a 3 goal lead! 12th place on our return is great, cheer up!

Pessimist I may be but I have a grey beard and my memory runs long with this club.

My concern is that we have a board of little or no ambition other than to rape the club of its assets. Sooner or later the threadbare squad will be have it's better players sold and replaced by journeymen or has-beens. I don't see any signs to the contrary, especially with Pardew in charge, and if this club loses its ambition then the better players available would rather go down the road.

And once in that spiral it won't be easy to get out of it. We did it last time by dropping a division and coming right back. We could have had a board which gave an impression that we're going somewhere other than shoving our talent into a helicopter Liverpool bound and, worst, having no replacement. Furthermore, I've heard of no indications that an replacement is going to be had neither. Yes, we have had rumours that we're buying the attacking pair from various clubs but that's it.

Pessimist? No, sorry. Been here before for too many decades.

 

Wait and see til after the summer first; if it goes the way you think it will then you can be my guest and bring out the doom and gloom and tell everyone how wrong they were for being happy about a successful season.
IMO there's no point in supporting a team if all you do is see the potential for misery every time something good happens, have a bit of faith and enjoy being a fan.

Cheer up man mate, be this dis heartened after the transfer window shuts, not before pards has had the chance to spend anything. We are in a better position now financially than we have for years, and despite our relegation, we are better off financially than Sunderland. Plenty to be optimistic about.

 

Maybe next season they can achieve that elusive 9th place.

Bruce will have to bring in more World Cup superstars like Riveros.

I doubt the board actually want to replace our better players with has-beens etc...after all this is a business for them, and siging has-beens in the long run aint going to make them money is it? And yeh, they did shove Amy in a helicopter...but Liverpool came up with a stupid price! Who'd have thought this time last year Carroll would have been sold for £35 Million pounds? No one, and we'd all of taken it. And, what do you mean you've had no indication we are going to sign a replacement? Do the club come to you personally with their transfer targets? They aint just gonna tell the media who they wanna bloody sign lol. Thats why we've only got the rumours to go on!

Just chill out man! I respect you've been a fan for decades...but dont dwell on the past. Look to the future. Because, as far as I can see we've got alot to be optimistic about.
